When I was saved some 30 plus years ago, I did not receive this message (or anything that would lead me to this understanding). I was saved in a small Assembly of God Church and the Pastor and his wife were truly wonderful people. They did their best to help me in uncountable ways. I don't believe however that they realized that I did not understand that I needed to keep the Cross of Christ before me every day. I tried the best I knew how to serve the Lord through studying the Bible, regular Church attendance, playing a little music in church, and basically did whatever the Pastor suggested. However, when the pastor was called to another church, I went on to attend Rhema Bible Training Center. Looking back on what I garnered from the time I spent there; it seems like I felt more impressed to have faith in myself rather than faith in Christ. I am not speaking ill of this training institution for it may very well be that I just was not receiving what they were trying to teach. Improper thinking led me to improper believing, improper prayer, improper study,(which was inevitable because without Christ as the object of my faith, the Holy Spirit would not help me to understand what I was trying to study) and ultimately improper living. I became a backslidden wreck within a few years. I tried to find my way back to the Lord but I believe the misconceptions which I had developed concerning how to live for God, hindered my efforts to again live for the Lord. I prayed, I sought God by trying to read the Bible. It seemed that the Bible was in another language almost, and it just put my thinking between a rock and a hard spot as the saying goes. Though I had repented and asked forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ I still had all the conscience of past sin and knew inside that I was still not right with God. After years of failure in regards to getting right with God and having any kind of sense of being right with God, I was gripped by fear that I was going to Hell and there was nothing I could do about it. I finally, one day just gave up trying. I recall walking around in my driveway aimlessly, and had been trying to pray. (Which was like talking to a wall) Finally, I said to myself, “okay, I guess I'm not going to make it to Heaven. Maybe I have committed the unpardonable sin or something, I just didn't know,” and now I felt I was obviously on my way to Hell like a locomotive, steaming its way down a hill without an Engineer. Finally, I told myself, “right now I am right here, on this beautiful world that God has created; I am a free moral agent, and I can do what I want and I can say what I want. Even though I know the day is coming when I will be burning in Hell and I probably will not be free to Praise God, right now I can Praise God if I want to. And I do want to and I am going to because I know he is worthy of all Praise.” I started praising God and thanking Jesus for the wonderful sacrifice which he had made on the Cross. In all of about three seconds, the Holy Spirit fell upon me and I knew God still cared. He took my sins and gave me His Righteousness. He took my death and gave me His Life. He took the Curse of the Law and gave me Liberty. The peace and rest which the Lord gave me is indescribable. God has forgiven me for Jesus Christ’s sake and I have come to realize that all I need; is in the sacrifice of Christ at Calvary. However, I went through a short period of time following this experience that I begin to be worried that I could again backslide. After all, I had been sincere in my efforts to live for the Lord before, but I still had found it impossible to live for the Lord as I knew I should. I prayed and asked the Lord, “if in your all knowing ways can see that I will backslide again at some point, then please just take me now. I don’t want to live just to find myself again in a backslidden condition. I do not want to go to hell. Please help me.” Well, He didn’t kill me, but He did show me something which would prevent me from ever backsliding. At the time, I thought this to be something which I had came up with on my own in order to just keep me close to the Lord until I found the answer to my dilemma. But now I know it was actually the Lord showing me how to have continuous victory, every day of my life. I started thanking Jesus every morning for shedding His Blood to atone for my sin (and I do mean verbally). I also thanked Jesus Christ at the same time for providing Righteousness and Redemption for me, which I know I could in no wise afford. I did this not only in the morning, but in the evening also. Most of the time I would thank Him at various times during the day also. I did this in a desperate attempt to stay close to the Lord, so as not to in any way fall away from the Lord. The Bible started making more sense to me than I could have imagined. I could read almost anywhere and it just seem to jump off the pages into my understanding. I began having a desire to pray and commune with the Lord. And the prayer was no longer like a job but was enjoyable.(Praise God) The Lord begin to reveal things to me from His Word, which I had never known. I now realize that thanking the Lord Jesus (from the heart-sincerely) for what He accomplished at Calvary, on a continual basis (1 Cor. 15:2), keeps us standing on the platform which the Holy Spirit uses to perform every good, and powerful work in our lives. In fact we are sanctified only by continually trusting in what Christ accomplished on our behalf at Calvary. I believe the Lord is leading me to let as many people know as is possible; that it’s all in Christ and what he did on the Cross. This is the very foundation which the Holy Spirit stands upon, whenever he is moving in someone’s life. Whether it is for victorious living, understanding the Word of God, Healing, or anything else that I could name. If we are to receive ANYTHING from God, it WILL BE done by the Holy Spirit ONLY because of what Jesus Christ has done via his sacrifice of Himself on the Cross. It’s all in Christ, it’s all in Christ, it’s all in Christ. Praise God . I have not sent this message to you because I believe you to be lacking in some way but because I pray that you are dedicated to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. May the Merciful Lord of all Blessings, Bless you always Dennis Lackie www.itsallinchrist.com Sunday, July 11, 2010, 06:32 PM

Dear brothers and sisters! I have only one way left that is to get in touch with you.
I will tell in short about myself. I am Valery Matveychuk. I live in Odessa, Ukraine. I’m 42 years old. I am an invalid, I have muscular dystrophy of Duchenne, I have to stay in bed for many years. I’m a member of First Baptist Church in Odessa. My faith in our Lord Jesus Christ helps my in life and give strength to overcome the disease and problems which unfortunately are many. The Lord works miracles. I’m confined to my bed but still can “come” to church and together with my brothers and sisters pray and praise the Lord – how great it is that we are together. Brothers in Christ take me in my wheelchair to church and it’s not easy. I’m completely motionless and of course very heavy, but they don’t leave me alone. On my birthday on July 21 in 2002 they bought me a computer on their own money. It was my dream for a long time and now I have an access to e-mail. I’ve always had a dream to have fellowship with Christians and interesting people from different towns and countries. And now the Lord through brothers and sisters made this dream come true. Also through the Internet I am looking for information about my disease – doctors, clinics, funds etc. “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8. I was 42 on July 21. I was born in 1965 and when I was 5 in 1970 I got sick. Now I’m completely helpless, hands can hardly work, I can’t even take a cup, it’s too heavy for me. I suddenly felt worse in fall 1979 when I was 14, then the condition got even worse in 1982 overnight when I was 17, I even remember the date – from August 31 on September 1. Since them the condition gets worse continuously, though there is no way to get it worse already. And at the beginning of summer in 1988 I fell down and broke my leg (femoral bone) and stayed in plaster for many months and it’s a disaster for such sick as me. In fact, I broke the leg twice, first time when I fell down and the second time the drunken hospital workers broke it when they carried me from home to hospital for x-ray. But nobody was surprised, I just live in a country like this. In hospitals people often die because they just didn’t get the simple medical aid. Since 1970 and until now neuropathologists prescribe the same medicine to me, which never helped me and I felt even worse. It seems like our medicine stopped developing in 1970. I have friends who always help me, I may say that I live at their expense. Seeing my condition and our medicine here in Ukraine, they decided to find help in western civilized counties. As I have a lot of free time, they told me to start search though my English is not good for that. I’m looking for hospitals, clinics, charity funds which work with sick people like me. I realize that it’s impossible to bring me back to normal life but I hope that there is a way at least to help my hands and to improve my general condition. If I could just crawl it would be a big progress for me. For instance, I know that it’s used gene therapy, tube cells and other methods treating muscular dystrophy of Duchenne, but all of these are not used in Ukraine, everything is on the level of 1970 and the doctors agree with that. My muscles and joints constantly aches, flabbiness. My friends see how hard it is for me and ready to help me. But the problem is to find a place where they work effectively with patients like me. That’s why I’m asking your help. As I said before, I understand that I won’t walk any more especially after breaking the leg, but if I could work with my hands better it will be a big success for me. Dear brothers and sisters, may be there is someone who could help me with information. One interesting fact is that I was able to find hospitals where they work with muscular dystrophy but when they hear that I’m from poor Ukraine they quit writing. It’s sad but Ukraine is considered as a country of the third world. And there is no hospital which will be ready to work with an invalid from a country like that! That’s why I decided to try to do something through Christians. Peace to you. Here people are uneducated and far away from civilized life, most of the people living in remote areas which is caused them not able to meet the daily needs or necessities. Having burden of these perishing souls I started this ministry to give proper care n protection and to make them know Jesus n receive him in their life and to save perishing souls. So due to the above mission it is difficult to task reach people in and around this area. Therefore I would like to appeal for kind help whichever may be possible so that me and my people are grateful to you in the days coming and god will abundantly bless ur ministry. In reply to Bro. A.D.Smith of Caldwell, ID:
Dear Sir, Thank you for taking the time to reply to our guest book. As the WebServant of www.flmbc.org, I would like to apologize for the delay in replying to your comments. Your entry raised four unique points that I would like to address. You comment that there are people attending the church in Caldwell, ID during the hunting season. I do not disagree that some of the brethren attend worship services at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Richard Campbell Pastor, while vacationing. The bible teaches us in Hebrews 10:25 we are “not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;” but to come together to “exhort one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” When traveling, we see the example Paul set forth in the book of Acts. During his second and third missionary journeys, he sought out churches to fellowship with while traveling, even though he remained a member at the Antioch church. Your entry implies that there has been no investigation on the part of these brethren as to the lineage of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Caldwell, ID. This is not true. There has been an investigation into the lineage and doctrinal positions of the work in Caldwell. There are quite a few of the local, visible, independent churches in the Oregon and Washington areas that can trace a lineage through the Lord's work at Caldwell. The Antioch Missionary Baptist Church has a lineage that, so far as one can trace, has been documented through physical historic local church records and is found to be sound. Your entry also implies that the work in Caldwell may not be doctrinally sound. The First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Springfield, OR has recently sent a letter and questionnaire to Brother Campbell and the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church investigating the stand on doctrinal issues and bible teachings. Upon examination of the responses, we found no reason, that we know of, to not be in fellowship with them and to send missionary support for the work there. This leads to the last point. The comment “The work in the Northwest has dwindled down to just a handful and has done so due to Bible doctrines.” I am not sure what you meant by saying this. Are you implying that there are Bible doctrines that are causing churches in the Pacific Northwest to fall away? If so, which specific ones are you referring to? Or are you saying that because of our stand to keep these doctrines pure has caused a dwindling? In either case, the dwindling of churches was warned of in 2nd Thessalonians Chapter 2, “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped.” I hope this helps to clarify your understanding and answer any questions that have arisen from your guest book entry. If you would like to receive a copy of the research into the lineage of the Springfield First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, which includes Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Caldwell, ID, please feel free to contact Brother Crabtree at the below address. Sincerely in Christ, Sister Tanda Linde, www.flmbc.org, WebServant Brother Roger Crabtree, Pastor, First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 421 S. 40th St., Springfield, OR 97478 (541) 747-3549 Monday, March 19, 2008, 11:29 AM

I am a 27 year old man who surrendered to preach in October of 2003 at Saxton Independent Baptist Church here in Williamsburg, KY. I saw that you were a firm KING JAMES BIBLE believing church, and may I say GREAT!!! Always remember 2 Corinthians 4:1. Always look for opportunities to preach! There has been 12 people (I think) called to preach at our church. One who is now over a church in Birmingham, AL. Me, myself, am an Asst. Sunday School teacher for the Middle Schoolers, Bus Captain of Bus #1, and Wednesday Night teacher of the kids up to 3rd grade. My wife, Christina, is my backbone. She backs my ministry up as much as she possibly can. I am very thankful for her. But most of all, I am thankful for the Lord Jesus Christ sending us out knocking on doors so we can tell more people about Jesus Christ and his saving power. May God bless your church. Remember, the light goes on the candle, and according to Revelation, the candlestick is the church. The Lord walks in the midst of the candlesticks. Give God the credit for the ministries of your church being fulfilled. Until next time, I will talk to you later. Bye!!!

Think about how many people we have on our e-mail address book that could benefit from this site. It's as easy as recommending this page. Hi Roger; It's been some time since I've talked to you. Give me a call some day when you have some spare time. I bet your suprised that I found you on the internet. Say hi to the wife. The next time I'm back in Oregon, I'll stop by for lunch, or we can go out next time.
Nice web site.... The internet is a great place to communicate. I retire from teaching since we talked last. Being a teacher/librarian was a great hobby. Ann is still working at the college level. Can't get her to retire. Take care. George Gilbert, AZ Monday, October 5, 2004, 02:02 AM

As the 'web-servant' of this site it is my hope and prayer that the Lord will bless this outreach and all those who may benefit from its presence on the web.
