Vacation Bible School 2006

This is our yearly Vacation Bible School. Vacation Bible School is a week long, fun filled, exciting half day camp that strives to teach children age 5 through the eigth grade about the Lord Jesus Christ and His love towards us. It is being held this year JUNE 19 - 23.


Weekly Theme Verse:
Acts 5:20 “Go, stand and speak…to the people all the words of this life.”


Series Aim:
The student will learn what is necessary to share the gospel with others.

Lesson 1 – Monday

Bible Story:
Acts 4:1-22 – John and Peter courageously share the gospel of Christ amid opposition.

Lesson Aim:
The student will learn to share the gospel even in the presence of opposition.

Memory Verse:
Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Life Application:
I can be courageous in standing up for Christ.

Lesson 2 -- Tuesday

Bible Story:
Acts 10:9-22, 28, 43 – Peter obeys God and carries the saving gospel to Cornelius and his family.

Lesson Aim:
The student will learn the importance of being obedient to God even when he does not understand His plan.

Memory Verse:
Acts 10:43, “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”

Life Application:
I can obey God and share the gospel with anyone.

Lesson 3 – Wednesday

Bible Story:
Acts 8:26-40 – Philip readily shares the gospel as he has opportunity.

Lesson Aim:
The student will learn preparation is necessary to be ready to share the gospel.

Memory Verse:
Acts 8:35, “Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.”

Life Application:
I can prepare to share the gospel with others.

Lesson 4 – Thursday

Bible Story:
Acts 16:16-34 – Paul and Silas praised God despite pain and hardship.

Lesson Aim:
The student will learn true joy comes from knowing Christ.

Memory Verse:
Acts 16:31, “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

Life Application:
I can be a joyful witness in every circumstance.

Lesson 5 – Friday

Bible Story:
Acts 27:21-44 – Paul on a ship in the midst of a storm, believes God.

Lesson Aim:
The student will learn God’s promises are true and can be believed all the time.

Memory Verse:
Acts 27:25, “Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.”

Life Application:
I can believe God’s promises all the time.
